5 Seconds explores the sport of Roller Derby, and the local community and leagues in the greater Wellington region.

It’s all fun and snacks until the timekeeper yells “five seconds!”, then the adrenaline starts pumping. The skaters close ranks, lock in and prepare for the starting whistle. Established in 2007, Richter City Roller Derby (RCRD) was one of the first leagues to bring the full-contact, inclusive, women-led sport on roller skates to Aotearoa New Zealand.

Claire Jaycock is a Pōneke-based photographer contributing to an alternative archive of our world by documenting her interest in lesser-known stories and subcultures.

Pōneke Photo Press
Pōneke Photo Press is a limited-edition photo zine publisher focused on local photographers showcasing stories from our city. Each edition is curated through close collaboration with the photographer; together, we define the edition's theme and carefully select the photos.

Founded in 2026, Pōneke Photo Press brings together experience in publishing, design, and photography to create a recognisable zine series. Four editions are released each year, each following a consistent layout and format, creating continuity across the catalogue and keeping the focus on the photography itself.
